June 25, 2022 Update:


Well, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we never got to take the Alaska Cruise or Japan trip. So, our Alaska trip is now planned for August 2022, after our 62nd reunion. Trying to vacation now with the coronavirus now subsiding. Would like to make our month long trip to Japan & Okinawa in 2023. Trying to travel as much as possible while still in good health.


Our 52 wedding anniversary is coming up next month and I now have 2 granddaughters (Richard's children) age 12 & 8. Richard moved to Tacoma and works at a clinic in Lacey. Brian is a TV sports anchor at the ABC station KITV in Honolulu. Still a bachelor.


I am still doing the Kitsap County Sheriff's office Citizen's On Patrol but plan to retire in September. I'll be 80 and after 20 years doing this as a volunteer, it is time to fully retire from all volunteer duties. Beside, I don't want to fall asleep driving a police car or get lost somewhere! I've written almost 3,000 tickets in 20 years to help citizens of Kitsap County. I still try and golf once a week and walk the course. Will keep doing this as long as I can.


I really enjoy being on our South Kitsap class of 1960 reunion committee and look forward to our 62nd reunion on August 10 at Trophy Lake Golf. Hope to see many of you there!



March 27, 2020 Update:


Will be married 50 years in July 2020. Going on an Alaskan cruise to celebrate, which will be our first trip to Alaska.

We are traveling more now and last year took a cruise through the Panama Canal and a safari to Africa. We want to

return to Japan and spend a month exploring next year.


I am staying busy still volunteering with the Health Department and the Sheriff's office. If you see a gray haired old man

driving a Sheriff's police interceptor SUV with “Citizen's On Patrol” on the side, it might be me! We write $450 parking

tickets to people who park illegally in disabled parking spaces without a placard or plate. This helps us seniors have a

place to park! I also try to get out once a week and golf to get exercise. Keeping this web site updated also gives me

mental exercise. I'll keep doing it until I can no longer remember my password!!

March 31, 2015 Update:

Now married 44 years and still enjoying retirement!


I'm still doing volunteer duties except I quit pheasant hunting due to death of my dog (and not wanting to get a new one and train it).

Now have more time to golf and do more fishing & clamming. We now have 2 granddaughters who live in Los Angles so

we travel there to visit a couple times a year. We try to travel more and love going to Mexico, especially at Christmas time.


I volunteer with the Citizens On Patrol (COP) for the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office driving a Sheriff's car looking for handicapped parking

violators and writing tickets. In addition to writing parking tickets, we also do home vacation checks for people on vacation,

tag & remove abandoned vehicles from county roads, inspect junk vehicles for homeowners wanting to get rid of junk vehicles and

do traffic control if needed at accidents and special events.


I hope to see lots of classmates at the 55th reunion.
